RIBWORT PLANTAIN

Symbol Guide: 🫖 🍃 💧

Botanical Name: Plantago lanceolata

Source: Green Heffa Farms

Overview: Ribwort Plantain is a humble yet mighty herb that's been cherished for centuries in traditional herbal practices. With its narrow, lance-shaped leaves and deep green color, this plant is a natural ally for supporting respiratory health, soothing irritated skin, and gently aiding digestion.

How to Use:

🫖 Tea Blends: Steep 1–2 tsp per cup of hot water for 10–15 minutes. Sip to soothe the throat, lungs, and stomach.

🍃 Topicals: Infuse in carrier oil and use topically for bug bites, wounds, and skin irritation.

💧 Tinctures: Can be used as part of a blend or on its own for respiratory and skin support.

🌫️Smoke Blend: When dried and crushed, ribwort can be added to herbal smoke blends to support lung health and smooth harsh herbs.

Why We Love It

Known for its soothing effect on the respiratory system, ribwort can help ease coughs, sinus irritation, and mild asthma symptoms. Naturally anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, it supports skin healing for minor cuts, bug bites, stings, and rashes.

Gentle on the digestive system, it’s often used to help calm gut inflammation and discomfort. Also used historically as a mild astringent and tissue tonic.

Grown with care at Green Heffa Farms, our Ribwort Plantain is a versatile herb with a long legacy of use in traditional herbal practices. Often overlooked, this unassuming green ally packs powerful properties that support respiratory health, skin repair, and internal balance.

      Have not tried yet 🤗

After purchasing ribwort from you..I checked my yard and it goes wild! Sad to say I have an unfenced property and cannot trust picking them. Glad you offer this amazing plant that's good for respiratory issues. I'll use it soon. I appreciate you offering it to us. Many thanks!

I NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE UNTIL I READ YOUR DESCRIPTION!

Ribwort Plantain, has a sweet, earthly and flowery scent, and when boiled for that nice hot tea or sit it on the porch in a old fashion mason jar with a hint of mint and lemon on a hot sunny day-----Girl it is DELICIOUS:-)

      Quality tea

When I opened the packaging, I loved the smell of the tea. Infused in hot water is how I like it best! Thank you also to the wonderful customer service folks, who caught the zip code typo! This helped me get the tea without delay!
